Tuesday Tune-Up – Discover the Benefits of Dry Needling

We’ve Sharpened our Skills: Discover the Benefits of Dry Needling

We’re committed to enhancing your wellness journey. Today, we shine a light on an effective treatment: Dry Needling. I love this topic because of the first experience I had right after I learned how to dry needle years ago.

My mom had tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) for 7 months and nothing had given her relief. She was the first patient I provided the service to and she had 30% relief after the first session (I was hesitant to do too much since I had just been trained how to do it). Since she reported the positive changes I applied the techniques with less hesitancy three days later and her pain went away completely and never returned!
It really opened my eyes to how effective this type of treatment is.

What Is Dry Needling?

Dry Needling involves inserting thin, sterile needles into trigger points (tight muscle areas) to relieve pain and improve mobility. Unlike acupuncture, it focuses on musculoskeletal issues and it is a Western Medicine treatment. It is effective when properly applied to areas of your body involving soft tissue (muscles, tendons and fascia). It’s the most invasive procedure we do as therapists and requires advanced training to become certified.

It’s truly a, “game changer” when it comes to getting relief and the effects are quick and lasting.

Key Benefits:

Pain Relief: Targets chronic pain, headaches, and sports injuries.
Improved Mobility: Reduces muscle tightness and enhances range of motion.
Faster Recovery: Supports quicker rehabilitation from injuries.
Minimal Discomfort: Quick, precise technique with minimal side effects.
No down time: You can do about anything you want to after these sessions.
